Extremely. Pomelo is only granted read only access to your accounts. We never store any of your bank login credentials, bank details or any of your financial records and we have no access to make any changes to your accounts.
In January 2018, the European Union passed a piece of legislation called PSD2. You may have heard this referred to as ‘Open Banking’ in the UK.
Put simply, PSD2 means banks have the legal obligation to provide Read-Only access to third-party service providers - like Pomelo - to ensure that customers benefit from competitive financial services.
Read-Only means just that - we can only ‘read’ your transaction data. We cannot do other things, like make payments or perform bank transfers.
No, it's currently not possible to do this, however we are working on a Pomelo account.
Unlike other saving apps, Pomelo rewards you for saving. Everytime you save money, reach a goal or compete with friends, you are rewarded. You can then exchange your Pomelo points for vouchers that you can use online or on the high street. There is no catch.
Your financial data belongs to you. We will never sell or share you data with anyone, ever.
Pomelo will always be free. Pomelo Pro and Pomelo Ultimate give you more features and access to rewards.
You can add as many or as few accounts as you like.
If you have any further questions, please get in touch with a member of the Pomelo team, who will be able to help you further.
